Why tyranny fails

Tyranny loses. Why? Because of this one human feature.

The bottom line

Few, if any of us, can escape the feeling of tension in our world today. Russia's war on the sovereign country of Ukraine continues to burn hot. Fighting in the Mid-East is intensifying and the threat of a nuclear war is growing. People across the world are protesting tyranny. And emotions are flaring.

Here in North America, political leaders, judges, and legal professionals are being targeted and even murdered for doing the jobs they were elected to do. Immigrants who are in our country legally, who work hard and pay taxes are being deported on unsupported, false or fabricated claims of criminality without Due Process. Children, teens and young adults who were born here and are legal US citizens by birth according to the 14th Amendment of our Constitution are being treated like thugs and shipped away to detention centers because their parents were not legal citizens.

In addition, our 47th president threatens to withdraw financial support for public schools, institutions of higher learning, and public broadcasting systems unless they remove all information that accurately reflects our history and diversity, yet shines a light on the harmful tradition of white male supremacy in this country. He consistently posts misleading and false information on social media that confuses the public, praises oligarchs and demonizes individuals standing up for real justice and democracy. He is also breaking long-standing ties of collaboration with our allied countries. He himself is a convicted felon by a neutral jury of citizens, and yet he sits as our president number 47 and wields his whims across the lands as a wannabe king.

The bottom line is this: individuals in the White House, in state governments, and in our citizenry are trying to push a misguided Christian Nationalist Nazi-esque white supremacist agenda designed by the ultra-conservative, white male supremacist group known as The Heritage Foundation into our lives. They want a dictator to force the free citizens of this country to exclusively embrace the Roman Catholic Tradition of religion. They want men to have ultimate authority and anyone other than men to serve their wishes in slave-like subservience.

The resistance

But there's a rub. Their tyranny is meeting massive resistance. Rather than shrinking back from the pressure, citizens are standing up, speaking out and rejecting dictatorship. At least some Justices are risking the threat of personal harm under this Administration to uphold their oath and the supreme laws that have guided our country in greatness for 236 years. In the face of tyranny, a majority of citizens are honoring the millions of lives sacrificed over hundreds of years in the name of our country's promise of "life, liberty and justice for all." We are standing up for our right to worship as we feel compelled to and to have sovereignty over our lives under the freedoms our Creator endowed us with.

The challenge

Our sovereignty is being asked to endure the weight of many threats—from self-serving party-line politics, social media moles, dis-and-misinformation schemes and AI delusions to technology hacks, privacy assaults and a disdain for the egalitarian, legal rights and boundaries set forth in our Constitution. Many individuals in the conservative arena are expressing words and actions that suggest they have discarded integrity for greed and are mutilating prayer for power.

Yet this—all of this blame and bullying, discrimination and disdain, hate and hurt, violence and viciousness—is not who we are. It's not who anyone is. And it is so far below the greatness humans are capable of that some people can't see anything beyond it.

The task

Humans can change the painful paradigm we've created. We can transform how we experience our shared lives on this planet. And the path to doing so isn't something outside of us.

Humans can stop sacrificing themselves on altars of greed and power. We can put down our righteousness and our narratives. We can open our hearts and minds to the single thing that vibrates at the core of all Life, that beats the heart of all Life, and that holds Grace for all Life: unadulterated Love. Unadulterated Love is our shared lifeblood with all Life.

Under the flag of unadulterated Love, we come to see clearly that our lives are inescapably intertwined with all Life. And that the suffering of any being means the suffering of all beings. This is not speculation or new age rhetoric. It's the proven physics principle of Quantum Entanglement.

By upholding this highest of truths, we have everything we need to transform our reality into one in which all of Life can thrive and none are left behind. Everything we need is already available for it. Our Maker gifted Life with abundant resources.

Yet humans are the part of Life that has forgotten this high truth. Humans are the ones who must evolve to embrace it because humans are the ones who will destroy it if we don't. Not the plants, not the animals, not the birds or the fish. Humans.

In the end tyranny fails for a reason. It will never win. Why? Because it goes against the very thing that defines who we are, the thing that vibrates at the core of our being and at the center of all Life—the creative force of unadulterated love.

We are the ones tasked with upholding this astounding Life our Maker created. And we can do it. It's a simple fix, really. But we have to choose it.

"The doorway to true happiness is right inside of us from the day we are born. Our very essence is one of pure love.
