Life comes down to a single choice

Navigating these changing times is simpler than we may think.

We humans are in a strange time here on Earth. Do you feel it? Maybe life is business as usual and we're imagining it. Or maybe humans are in the midst of a mega-metamorphosis and we're in it whether we like it or not. Either way, things feel extra fragile and tender, like they could break apart at any second.

When the things we hold as our foundations begin to crack and break apart, we lose our balance and start to teeter. As the metamorphosis progresses, the teetering becomes wobbling and eventually a dismantling and crumbling apart of everything that was until the dissolution is complete. This is a necessary stage of rebirthing, just as the entirety of a caterpillar's plump body literally dissolves into the liquid substance of imaginal cells within its cocoon before reorganizing into the physical design of the delicate winged butterfly that eventually emerges. It seems that humans are ready to dissolve the heaviness we've created for far too long in Life in order to reveal and embrace the lightness of our true essence, not unlike the journey from caterpillar to butterfly.

I imagine that for a crazy moment or two, undergoing such a metamorphosis feels as if we're losing everything that matters, even our very lives. Yet as the space clears and the transformation progresses, we come to see that we aren't. All we lose is what can't be carried forward because it is out of alignment with the divine essence of our becoming.

Of course we humans see things in our own ways and often disagree, some to the point of retribution. Yet there is no purpose in that at this time of metamorphosis. The changes are upon us whether we agree or not, like them or not, want them or not. And no one can say with certainty where we will land or how the changes will impact Life on Earth, though we can make some pretty good guesses about one path or another based on lessons taken from human history and science.

During such times, we choose where we stand based on the Life we want to create on Earth. We humans can stand to bring a higher truth, wisdom, kindness, compassion, love, light, harmony and unity into this reality, or we can stand in something else and continue to generate pain and suffering for ourselves and the rest of Life. That's about as simple as it gets, yet it seems that a clear choice is a mandatory part of the times in which we find ourselves.

Let's choose wisely.
