I can ignore this forever...Not.
There's something inside calling your name, needing your attention. Maybe it's a gentle and soft whisper, yet persistent. Ignoring it won't make it go away.

I recently visited Enchanted Rock State Natural Area and have never seen it so beautiful. Creeks were flowing, birds were singing, everything was green and buzzing with new life, and the wildflowers were awesome. I left feeling refreshed, renewed, inspired and so alive.
Spring is about feelings. It's a time of year that naturally stirs our senses and teases our energy to awaken. We break from Winter's chill and step into the warmth of the Sun. We are surrounded by new life blossoming everywhere. And we feel it.
Our feelings are a pointer. They're a clue to how connected we feel to the Source of all things. When we are connected to that Source, we feel in tune with ourselves, more positive and in step with the larger flow of life around us.
When we're disconnected from Source, we don't feel that way because we're disconnected from our essence and by default, from the rest of life. From that place, everything we desire becomes harder to achieve. It's easy to feel bad. Our mind slips into cycles that keep us stuck in regret or worry. We struggle to stay present and embrace what is.
This is a great time to check in with yourself. Are you excited about what's happening or uncertain and anxious? Do you feel inspired or shut down? Are you open and connected to the flow of life around you or distant and detached from it?
Maybe you're somewhere in the middle, trudging along in your life day after day feeling okay...and secretly wishing for more. But how do you get it? What needs to change?
We already have the answers we seek. It's accessing them that's the challenge. Maybe we doubt our capacities. Or we don't trust our inner knowing and intuition. Maybe we've taken on other peoples' doubts and opinions instead of embracing our own. Maybe we're afraid of making a mistake or failing at something that feels important. Or maybe we've just been burned enough times that we want to protect our heart from more hurt.
We can't make the changes we want in our lives until we access and embrace our whole truth—those things we wish to ignore, deny or hide because they feel too something to face. Yet doing so gets us nowhere and boxes us into a state of unhappy we won't get out of. Living in a perpetual state of unhappy keeps our heart closed, which keeps us disconnected from the flow of Source through us.
We need Source energy to move. Source energy flows through us as us. Without it, we lose inspiration, stagnate and eventually die. Existing in a cycle of denying our truth, feeling unhappy and disconnecting from the flow of Source lands us in an endless and exhausting loop, a default position that may save us the trouble of having to figure new things out but also keeps us from our best life. Stay there long enough and feeling blah becomes the norm, our comfort zone. And that's not really living, is it?
What we're discussing can be called a personal development obstacle. This is when we feel something more for ourselves yet struggle to define it. We know there's a different life for us but we can't grab ahold of it. We cling to what we have because we don't want to lose everything.
There are keys for opening new doors. We don't have to toss our life down the drain to reach for something new. At times that's what happens but it doesn't have to. What is needed is a willingness— a to honestly assess where we feel stuck and to get help to move beyond it; a willingness to take a healthy risk; a willingness to let go of what we cling to. A willingness to change. Being willing doesn't mean we will have to do any of those things. Yet being willing opens doors that stay closed otherwise.
There are many places to be willing, that can open new pathways forward toward the life you desire. Consider these five simple ones as a place to start loosening things up inside. See where they lead you and then go from there. Be willing to:
stop assuming that the voice in your head is correct, accurate and the most important one
start trusting the wisdom of your heart as a conduit to Source energy
trust yourself despite others' doubts, opinions or fears
get guidance from trusted souls who have walked the path you're walking
take smart actions that inspire and support your dreams
Action—even one courageous step—is essential to creating change. Open to new possibilities. Sit in the Sun. Take a walk. Make a call. Write a letter. Do art. Do something that shows you care and are there for yourself and your dreams. Everything we need is provided us by Source, everything. But we have to be willing, open and ready to receive it.

Never ever give up on yourself or your dreams. Honor who you were, who you are and who you are becoming. Your life is precious and your truth matters. Hold both close.
