Most of us have heard that chakras are energy hubs in our body but did you know they play a big part in helping us live our best lives? Each chakra carries its own frequency that we express through our thoughts, words and actions. When our chakras are vibrant, so are we. When they aren't, neither are we.
Consider as an example that in the kundalini tradition, there are eight chakras—seven that run from tip of tailbone to crown of head along the spine and an eighth, or auric field, that holds them all. The first one at the base of the tailbone relates to our foundation, our sense of security, safety and stability. When this chakra is healthy, we tend to feel stable, safe and secure in our lives regardless of our circumstances. When it's not healthy, we are more likely to feel unstable, unsafe and insecure in our lives even if there is no reason to.
The good news is that kundalini meditations are designed to nourish not only our chakras but our entire pranic energy body. Through the spiritual practice of kundalini meditation, we can nourish our chakras and support their higher expression in our lives to grow our sense of wellbeing, happiness and empowerment. The shifts we experience may be subtle or dramatic depending on the state of the rest of our being, yet with regular practice we can begin to notice positive changes inside and out.
