How we're getting it wrong as humans
Humans are conditioned to lead our lives with our mind, yet this is one of our greatest mistakes. Understanding the impact this is having on our lives changes everything.

As humans many of us learn to lead our lives with our mind, giving it the power to determine what course of action we take. Growing up our mind is conditioned to filter what's good from bad, right from wrong, safe from dangerous, etc.. This happens in the name of survival and to some degree it is useful. We need to be able to assess our surroundings and take right actions for our safety and survival. Yet putting our conditioned mind in the driver seat of our car has a big downside.
Our conditioned mind is not where our power belongs. Our power as humans belongs in our heart of compassion. We all know and feel compassion because we all face struggle and strife in life. Compassion connects us to our humanity. Leadership and life without compassion are destructive, yet with compassion life flourishes.
The proper place of our conditioned mind is as our tool to serve as an analyst and problem solver, not a boss. Consider what happens if we stop allowing our conditioned mind to drive our car. What could change if we shifted our power to our innate heart wisdom and then used our mind to figure out how to get us where we want to go? What might happen if we allowed things to be what they are in the moment without turning them into a narrative about the world, or judging them or ourselves as good/bad, right/wrong, positive/negative?
When we tame the rantings of our conditioned mind—those endless thought streams it runs 24/7 in our head—our lives can take on a new color, tone, feeling and meaning. Tempering our thoughts, words and actions with compassion changes the entire field of life as we know it. It also opens a doorway into the infinite realm of our existence where miraculous things can happen.
"I don't know" becomes a helpful mantra to counteract our conditioned mind's narratives—a gateway into infinite possibilities for our lives. I don't know sets us into a space of recognizing that something bigger is at play through us and through this reality. It reminds us that our human vision and perception are too limited to see the whole of what's happening in any single moment. And points to the reality that our existence is a tiny part of a multidimensional universe which may be inaccessible to our conditioned mind yet has always existed in our heart and Soul.
Whew. Remember that if we change nothing, nothing changes.
